NOTICE OF HEARING

GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY

BOARD OF HEALTH           

 

            Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held on July 17, 2025, at the hour of 8:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the Harbor Meeting Room, 2019 Sumner Avenue, Aberdeen, Washington, to consider a Variance Request under Chapter 173-304 Washington Administrative Code (WAC) for the Hoquiam Landfill.   

            Whereas, the following summary provides a brief description of the variance application to be presented to the Grays Harbor County Board of Health for consideration: 

A VARIANCE IS SOUGHT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING AT THE CITY OF HOQUIAM MUNICIPAL LANDFILL PURSUANT TO WAC 173-304-290(2)(a), (d) (i) and (g), WHICH MAY BE GRANTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH WAC 173-304-700 

            Whereas, the Department of Ecology has reviewed the variance request and affected landfill and has provided a letter of concurrence with the variance.

            NOW THEREFORE, the Grays Harbor County Board of Health will accept comments on the above-referenced issue. The application for the Variance is available at the Grays Harbor County Environmental Health Division office, Suite 31, 100 W. Broadway, Montesano, Washington 98563, for review, and will be mailed upon request. Written comments may be mailed to the Grays Harbor County Board of Health prior to the July 17, 2025, meeting, submitted at the Public Health offices, the County Commissioners’ Office, County Administration Building, Montesano, Washington, or submitted at the public hearing.
